California Community Partnership Award
The Birth & Beyond Program won statewide recognition with the 2002 California Community Partnership Award, presented by the Cities, Counties & Schools Partnership and the California Center for Civic Renewal. This award recognized the program’s success in combining the efforts of parents, community-based organizations, schools, county workers, and early childhood development professionals to help Sacramento families provide their youngest members with an enthusiastic, loving, and nurturing environment.
Award for Excellence in Community Collaboration for Children, Youth, and Families
In 2002, the Family Support Collaborative was one of only six recipients nationwide of the Award for Excellence in Community Collaboration for Children, Youth, and Families. This award is given by the Child Welfare League of America, a national non-profit devoted to developing and promoting policies and programs to protect America's children and strengthen America's families.
