Family Resource Center Services: 

All eight Birth & Beyond sites have a Family Resource Center where parents and children can participate for free in activities that educate and strengthen their families. All Sacramento County residents are eligible for Family Resource Center services.

Free parenting workshops are held at each Family Resource Center, events calendars for individual sites can be found here.

       Workshops offered include:

• Make Parenting a Pleasure, (Court approved training)
  • Click here for MPAP classes in the North area of Sacramento County (North Highlands, North Sacramento, Mutual Assistance Network, Folsom Cordova Community Partnership)
  • Click here for MPAP classes in the South area of Sacramento County (Valley Hi, Meadowview, La Familia, River Oak)
• DARE to be You,
• Workshops offered in English, Spanish, Russian and Hmong.

    Additional services available in certain sites include:   

• School readiness class and events
• Play groups,
• Family movie nights,
• Dad's groups,
• One-stop Career centers,
• Women's support groups,
• Self-defense classes,
• Dance classes,
• Women's health clinic,
• Teen parenting groups,
• Grandparent's support groups,
• AA and NA meetings,
• Parent leadership meetings.

    Crisis Intervention Services:

• Assistance with immediate needs,
• Safety planning,
• Case management services available upon request.
